It's Teddy Time

Yep, I'm feeling motivated. Had a scrap avo with my gf and decided to do this sketch for Stuck?! Sketches. I often do their sketches for inspiration and loved this one. Thought it would be the perfect LO for this pic I'd been wanting to scrap of our teddy bear's. Luke has 2 teddies (the two blue ones) and has bought me the other two for the last two Mother's Day's so that, according to him "have a mummy teddy and a baby teddy to cuddle and keep you safe, just like me". Too sweet.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out EXCEPT for the glare on the left hand side. I'm a shocker at taking pics! Hope you like it and thanks to the ladies at Stuck?! Sketches for the inspiration.

My First Southern Girls Challenge

It's up and on the blog! Yep, my first layout's as a DT member for Southern Girls Challenge. Our challenge this month is to do a layout inspired by music. I ended up doing two:

The first one is "You are my sunshine" and has my wee boy when he was a baby. I love these pics of him that his Aunty took - so happy. They make me smile every time I see them... just like he does. He definitely IS my sunshine.

The second one is inspired by the song "Cinema". The lyrics are just delicious and you can read them if you enlarge the pic.

Hope you will join in at Southern Girls Challenge and join in our 'music' challenge. As always, thanks for looking and I hope you liked.
Take care

Back... again!!

Gosh! It has been a crazy winter. Soooo busy and to top it all off I broke my ankle... which meant 8 weeks confined to the couch.

To answer any questions: No, apparently the break wasn't suitable for a moonboot. No, apparently I wasn't to put any weight on it at all. No, I couldn't lower it - it had to remain high up otherwise it swelled within 5 mins. No, I couldn't scrap at all. Yes, it was a HUGE waste of time! LOL

But now I'm back up and moving, and it's B R I L L I A N T!!! Which seems strange that I then decide to start scrapping again and confine myself to the desk! LOL But that I did. It's amazing how 'choice' makes things so much better - the fact I could choose to confine myself, rather than not choose.

So on Sunday, I had my good friend Tracy over and we scrapped for the afternoon. I produced these two pages:

Hope you like and thanks for looking. It's good to be back in the scrap world again after a 6 month break. Such a shame I had to pull off the DT for LSoS, but I couldn't commit to 4 LOs a month so... But I'm sure I'll be back doing some of their sketches :D

Take care

Chillin... with Little Shop of Sketches

Sketch #80 with Little Shop of Sketches see's Luke and I 'chillin' in the spa pool on a hot summer's day. It's been sooooo humid this summer that we've kept the spa on cool and are using it just like a swimming pool.

Luke and I love to stay in it for up to 2 hours, when our skin has totally wrinkled and we're very prune like. He loves to lie on my back and snuggle (and I have to admit, I love it too!)

Hope you like the layout. Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on it:

Don't forget to come and give it a go, and join in the fun with us at LSoS!

Strawberry Fields Forever

Hi everyone

Long time no post! Crafty Sketches have got me enthused with their latest sketch for February. This is my take on it... and I love it! My little one eating our first crop of strawberries he and daddy grew in the garden, and enjoying the taste of them in the chocolate dip. I love how the chocolate is dripping out making him look really vampirish in the last shot. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm gotta love it!

Thanks for the sketch, you Crafty ladies! :)

Take care

From Screen 2 Scrap

Well, I thought I would take up the challenge that "From Screen 2 Scrap" gave us for January.

The criteria involved having to have 1) a red title, 2) a clock, 3) an 80s photos. Well, I don't have any 80s photos so Paul gave me one of him and Chris to scrap.
You can see it here: http://screen2scrap.blogspot.com/2011/01/another-entry-from.html

It was a lot of fun - I haven't done a 'recipe' challenge in a long time, so I think this might just be a new thing to do for 2011. Watch this space, coz I always have famous last words!! LOL

Thanks for looking.

Our new form of punishment...

... pegs on all fingers! Well, it was going to be our new form of punishment, but he enjoyed it too much. LOL.

I was folding the washing one day and Luke decided he wanted all his fingers to have pegs on them. This is the result - one happy, crazy little boy!

This layout is done for Crafty Sketches January challenge, so thanks to the ladies there for getting me inspired enough to scrap these pics - coz I've had them sitting there for over a year!

Hope you like and thanks for looking :)

A new year... and a new competition

Well, I've been extremely lazy re the scrapbooking lately, but then again, IT IS SUMMER! And what a summer we've been having - absolutely glorious.

Then today it's a bit overcast and our household is feeling extremely lazy, so I've taken the opportunity while daddy is looking after Luke, to scrap. So I scoured the internet and decided to do the 15 Jan sketch challenge with Stuck?! Sketches.

And since it's summer here, what's more fitting to scrap than Luke playing with our dog, Rusty, last summer? I love this photo of the two of them, and think the papers I've used are fun and bright to capture the mood of the photo.

For once, I've kept it clean and simple, which I have a real problem with, but didn't want to overwhelm the pic.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking :)
