Mummy Soooo Proud!.

Have to brag about wee Lukie Luke. He got HIS FIRST MERIT CERTIFICATE from pre-school on Wednesday. It says:

"Presented to Luke for tidying up without being asked to."

What more could we ask?!?!?... well, maybe that he did that at home... oh yeah, he does... but not CONSISTENTLY... is Mummy being picky??! ha ha
Have to mention... he was proud too...and so was Daddy!

NZ Dares 64 Challenge

Well, I had to do one last challenge for this week since it's been a week of challenge addiction! We had to use a B&W photo with a colour photo, or mix B&W and colour in the one photo. Here is my take on it.

Up2Scrap Challenge (25 March 2009)

Oh gosh! After Tracy's challenge yesterday I found another one today! So here it is.

It's for Up2Scrape March Challenge. Hope you like it. I'm hoping no-one asks me what I used, as I'm not that type of scrapper - ie I have no idea!

Louise - I loved the sketch and look forward to each months challenge!

Scrappin Challenge (24 March 09)

This post is mainly for Tracy - it's all her fault - she set the challenge.

Tracy, here is my page based on your sketch. Can't upload to Gallery yet so thought I'd let you see it. Kept it simple, what do you think? Does it need something else?? I'll take a photo during the day to upload to Gallery. Oh yeah...I only used one piece of paper, too!!! Impressed?!?!?

Gymnastics, Diggers, Muffins & Sleep (23 March 09)

Okay, so an update for the last 9 days.
Since Angus visited, Luke knows he can use his Digger to dig the dirt up. So here he is, taking the opportunity. However, the dirt was a bit hard after a day in the sunshine, so Luke had to 'place' his rock in the scoop. No worries - he could still move it.

On Friday, Mummy & Luke visited Tracy & Aurelia in the afternoon. Mummy had cut Luke's hair that morning (??!?!?!), we'd been out visiting Natasha and down to the shops, so Luke decided he needed a wee kip in the car between visits. Can't you just see the same pose in years to come, on the couch, after Xmas dinner or after a hard day's work????

Luke had gymnastics with Daddy on Saturday. As Mummy isn't allowed to go, Daddy was sent off with the camera under instructions to take some photos. Here are some of the results. As you can see, Luke loves his 'nastics'. Such concentration!

Then that afternoon, Luke & Mummy made chocolate muffins - Luke's favourites (and Mummy's too!). Here's Daddy & Luke sampling them.
Cheers! They can't have been half bad judging from the faces!

And after all those energetic days and scoffing muffins, one must relax in front of the box with a friend. And of course, the friend has to be able to see the screen... so considerate!!!

So far in March...(14 March 09)

What a busy month it's been so far and it's just getting busier. Haven't taken many photos but here are the ones so far.

One Friday we had Lisa come over with baby Renee for the day (and bring a yummy lunch!), and Tracy and Aurelia popped over in the afternoon too, so it was fun for us. Here's a cute photo of the kids together - by the time Mummy got the camera, I think baby Renee was over being held by someone other than her Mummy!!

Then one weekend when Daddy was on coastguard, Kim & Luke met Brendon & Mya at the Rocknasium. This was Luke's first time and he was in awe watching wee Mya (5 years) scamper right up to the top of the walls. After a while he decided he wanted to have a go, so here he is. He's on the verge of asking Mummy to get him down... but he soon learned he could let go and swing down himself. Mummy was sooooo proud of her wee man - he was the tiniest one there and he's not sure he wants to go again, but after asking him if he wanted to show Daddy, it was a 'YES' to returning.

As you may be aware, the weather here has gone a lot cooler all of a sudden, and we've had a few wet days, which means indoor activities. Here is Luke playing with his playdough. He stacked 4 different colours and merged them together so much, that they are now one colour of purple!! All this after promising Mummy he wouldn't mix them up - yeah, right! Can't resist taking photos of his wee hands at work - aren't they so cute?!?!?!

And here he is cuddling Schnuggles, who, if you can't tell, was ready to scarper by the time Mummy ran and got the camera! But Luke was oblivious to this and just loved the fact that she was letting him cuddle her.

Off to see Jimmy Barnes in concert tonight - CAN'T WAIT!! Rob, Janine, Isobel and Angus are all coming up for the day/night to go along too, so that will be fun.

Fun in Napier! (28 Feb 09)

We headed off to Napier for the Mission Concert... which got cancelled due to the torrential rain that decided to visit! But we had a fantastic time anyway... out to dinner Friday with Nana & Grandad (Grandad's shout! Even better!!), getting drunk with Badge & Cheryl and utilising Nana & Grandad for babysitters... can't miss an opportunity like that, eh?!??

During the day we were well behaved though. Luke and Stacey had a great time together on Saturday. Here they are having a bus ride (the green hat Stacey is holding is the steering wheel). But like all children in this day and age, they soon got their 'mobile's' out and chatted away... irrelevant of the road safety rules!!
Of course, it didn't take Luke long to make himself at home - I didn't see him wash his hair but he is blow drying it, so he must have done!! And putting nail polish on the hair must be a new trend. Stacey thought he was just too funny - what a cute photo! And after Luke had to chase Stacey back in January (see earlier posting "First Love"), he decided to play it cool this time - so it was Stacey's turn to chase him! Good tackling and excellent holding down, Stacey. I like your technique... And judging by Luke's smile, I think he does too!
Then on the way back home, we stopped off at a park. Here is Luke coming down the tunnel slide. What a fun way to end a great weekend!
